Pumpkin Drop

This event, hosted each year around dad’s weekend, is put on by the WSU Physics and Astronomy Club. Each year students, faculty, and occasionally audience members, participate in an annual gravity experiment using Pumpkins and the 12 story building of Webster. Pumpkin Drop 2016

November 5 – mark your calendar!

Dad’s Weekend means it is time for the Annual Pumpkin Drop!!! WSU Physics & Astronomy invite you to join us on Saturday, November 5, in the Mall between Webster and the ISP buildings for pumpkin and science magic!

Events begin at 9 a.m. with experiments, demonstrations and fun activities for kids by both the physics and geology clubs. Followed by the main event, pumpkins dropping from 12 stories, beginning at 10 a.m.  The chemistry club will be providing a demonstration following the show at 11 a.m. Don’t miss gravity at its best!
