Biography

Dr. Mei is an experimental atomic, molecular, and optical physicist who specializes in quantum optics with cold atoms. His current research utilizes trapped neutral atomic arrays and ensembles and their highly excited Rydberg states to explore quantum entanglement and quantum computing. Dr. Mei is generally interested in quantum optics, nonlinear optics, atomic physics, cavity quantum electrodynamics, Rydberg-mediated interactions, many-body physics, quantum information processing, quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum sensing, quantum photonics, as well as developing advanced techniques to build up a scalable fault-tolerant quantum network.

Education

  • PhD in Physics, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
  • BS in Physics, Tsinghua University

Research Interests
