Biography

Dr. Sun studies theoretical condensed-matter and atomic-molecular-optical (AMO) physics, with particular focus on collective quantum phenomena in superconductors, superfluids, and Bose-Einstein condensates.

His research projects closely follow the forefront experiments on novel quantum matter in ultracold atomic gases and superconducting nano-devices. His recent projects explored (1) shell-shaped Bose-Einstein condensates in ultracold atomic gases and (2) electronic transport in superconductor and quantum spin Hall nano junctions.
