Yi Gu

Prof. Yi Gu’s group’s current research interests include the synthesis and characterizations of two-dimensional (2D) atomically thin materials. Particularly, material synthesis is carried out using chemical vapor deposition to achieve a control of material dimensions and compositions. Using multi-functional scanning probe microscopy techniques, such as scanning photocurrent microscopy, piezoresponse force microscopy, and Kelvin probe force microscopy, his group has been studying the structural phase transitions and ferroelectric properties in 2D materials.
