We are accepting applications for Fall 2009

1. Applicants must apply online to the Graduate School.

 


The following items will be processed directly by the Graduate School as part of the online application process.  Please note, you need not apply separately for assistantships, the online application process will satisfy this request. During the application process you will receive instructions for how to submit the following materials:

  • Official transcripts from all four-year institutions.
  • GRE scores for the General test and Subject Physics GRE.
  • Three confidential letters of recommendation (you will be asked during the application process to provide three names and emails for referees who can attest to your academic history and interests).*
  • Foreign applicants must arrange to have an official TOEFL score sent to the Graduate School.

  • Arrange to send directly to the Department a list of all physics courses and the textbooks used in your physics/astronomy courses.
  • Arrange to send directly to the Department a Statement of Purpose (state your interests and why you are interested in our program).

Admission to the Physics and Astronomy graduate program requires a minimum cumulative gpa of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
